A Christmas of solidarity

Saras and its people are committed to social projects that can generate value for the community and, for many years, on the Sunday before Christmas, the volunteer members of Cral Saras have dedicated themselves to preparing and distributing meals at the Caritas soup kitchen on Viale Sant’Ignazio in Cagliari.
A collaboration that is consolidated year after year: “For us it is a tradition that is repeated for Christmas and Easter – say the members of Cral Saras – and it represents a small gesture of solidarity towards the less fortunate”.
The 25 Cral volunteers made the over 120 guests very happy with a truly delicious menu consisting of seafood appetizers, cheese, salami, potato ravioli with sauce and a rice salad as first courses and roast and stewed lamb as second courses, and then vegetables, fruit, panettone and drinks. Other meals were served for dinner and delivered, in other distribution points, to the numerous families assisted by Caritas.
During the Christmas period, the company and Sarlux employees supported the Italian Association against Leukemia-Lymphoma and Myeloma (AIL) by purchasing Christmas stars, the proceeds of which help fund scientific research and assistance to hematological patients.
In addition, as per tradition, Saras purchased solidarity greeting cards from Children in Crisis Italy Onlus as part of the School is the future initiative dedicated to providing education, assistance and protection to children around the world who are victims of conflict, poverty or other situations of serious hardship.
The contribution we make to responsible social well-being makes us a point of reference for our sector, for the community and for all the stakeholders with whom we interact.
