Discover, Learn, Grow

When school and business meet, new opportunities arise.

The dialogue between school and the world of work is strengthened thanks to the PCTO (Paths for Transversal Skills and Orientation) programs organized by Saras assieme with several high schools in Sardinia. For us, the PCTO is not just a project, but a commitment to the future. We believe that every student has talent, energy, and ideas to cultivate. Offering them the right tools is the first step towards building a generation of knowledgeable, motivated professionals ready to make a difference.

During the month of May, we welcomed 100 students from three high schools in Cagliari, offering them the opportunity to experience a complex manufacturing environment firsthand. It wasn’t just about observing, but also about engaging with our experts and addressing the real challenges of the world of work.

For all students, the program began with a general introduction at their respective schools. Afterwards, they visited the Sarlux refinery, where each school had its own dedicated lesson, aligned with their specialization, thanks to the careful guidance of the company’s managers.

Leon Battista Alberti State Scientific High School
The students explored the topics of refining, electricity production, the water cycle, and learned the basics of cybersecurity.

Buccari-Marconi Higher Education Institute
After a session dedicated to refinery processes, focusing on IGCC electricity production, they explored maintenance processes and reliability technologies.

Pietro Martini Technical and Economic Institute
A journey to the heart of industrial production: refinery processes, biofuels and e-fuels, cybersecurity, and an in-depth look at the electricity grid, the market, and pricing.

Some interesting feedback from students and teachers:

We visited Saras with the school, and I was very pleased with the explanations and the level of engagement
Liliana

“It was all very interesting, and I learned a lot. Rating: 10!”.
Lorenzo

“This experience allowed us to understand what it means to be part of a team, tackle problems, and find solutions together”.
Marta

“Very engaging and interesting. Despite the use of specific language and complex terminology, the explanations were clear and more than understandable”.
Beatrice

We firmly believe in the importance of building a bridge between school and work. Investing in the future means accompanying young people on their growth journey, contributing to their education by offering concrete tools to face tomorrow’s challenges.
