Support for the activity of those who through the practice of sports promote in young people values such as healthy competition, dedication and commitment to achieve important goals. This is the leitmotiv of the prize \u201cSaras for Sport\u201d, which will be awarded on Wednesday 14 December to the sports club of Sarroch that achieved outstanding sport and social results during the 2015\/2016 season. Testimonials of excellence at the ceremony \u2013 planned for 5.30 pm in the Sarroch Municipal Library, will be Cagliari FC payers who will present the plaque to the winner, together with top managers of Sarlux and Mayor Salvatore Mattana. The Saras Group will offer a cheque for the purchase of sports equipment in the amount of \u20ac 2,000.<\/p>\n

The Municipality that hosts the primary industrial pole in Sardinia has some twenty amateur sports clubs, in various disciplines ranging from canoeing to taekwondo \u2013 with about 700 registered athletes, both adults and kids. Athletes and teams that often bring home brilliant results, perhaps not too well-known but nonetheless well worthy of encouragement.<\/p>\n

The theme of the award, organised in collaboration with the Municipality of Sarroch and the Head of the Sports Department, Mirko Spiga, is very straightforward: the prize goes to the club that excelled in terms of sports performance or for its social initiatives.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
