\/>\ntogether with an efficient supply-chain management model<br \/>\nand a personnel development plan that goes hand in hand with technological evolution,<br \/>\nto exploit the possibilities offered by industry 4.0.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">These are the strengths highlighted at the Platts<br \/>\nEuropean Refining Summit by Dario Scaffardi.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The Saras Executive Vice President and General Manager<br \/>\nexplained to the main global refining players<br \/>\nmeeting in Brussels on 21 September how the Sarroch-based Group is getting ready<br \/>\nfor the changes in the shipping industry legislation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Under the provisions of IMO\u2019s \u201cMarpol VI\u201d Convention, sulphur emissions<br \/>\nfrom marine fuels must be cut sharply from January 2020.<br \/>\nSaras will be ready to produce the new bunker fuel without having<br \/>\nto make any major investments in its plants.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">An important role, as explained by Mr Scaffardi, will be played by several digitisation projects<br \/>\nunder the #digitalSaras programme, which will optimise use of the company\u2019s own resources:<br \/>\na massive amount of data and the extensive knowledge and competencies of our people.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u201cDigitisation is bringing innovations even to a mature sector<br \/>\nsuch as refining \u2013 was Scaffardi\u2019s conclusion \u2013<br \/>\nand is the secret to continuing success for our company through the next
