The data for 2017 of the project \u201cSarroch Ambiente e Salute\u201d \u2013 started in 2006 with the aim of improving the quality of life
\nof the population of Sarroch \u2013 have been recently released.
\nWe are happy to report that the air quality data recorded by the Regional Environmental Agency (ARPAS)
\nshow that all pollutant levels are significantly lower than the maximum allowed threshold.<\/p>\n

Air quality outside the plant is controlled in real time by two monitoring networks
\n(one owned by ARPAS and the other by Sarlux)\u00a0which identify any variations in the significant parameters
\nand check that pollutant values are always lower than the legal threshold levels,
\nso that action can be taken in the event of any anomalies.<\/p>\n

We take note of the reports of bad smells in the town of Sarroch. Although this phenomenon is not harmful to health,
\nwe take the issue of odour nuisance very seriously.
\nWe are committed to continued improvement of environmental sustainability of the site.
\nWe are completing major environmental projects and will implement new ones in the future to minimise the release of smells.<\/p>\n

In 2017, the company completed a major investment on the cover of the water treatment tanks.
\nTo evaluate its effects, monitoring was performed before, during and after the installation works.
\nThe early monitoring data confirm significant reduction of odour impact.<\/p>\n

Moreover, with the support of Sartec we have put in place control systems and conducted an extensive analysis
\nof the tanks identified\u00a0as possible sources of bad odours, in order to ensure automated remedial action.<\/p>\n
