The company\u2019s recent strong push towards an increasing sustainability course comes as no surprise, as it is seamlessly aligned with the <strong>journey already underway towards the Group\u2019s sustainable development.<\/strong> We understand that environmental necessity is also an important opportunity for economic growth which we must seize.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>The 2021 Environmental Statement<\/strong>, approved by the Ministry of the Environment, <strong><u>certifies<\/u><\/strong> <strong>all the efforts that the Sarlux refinery dedicates to the creation of sustainable value <\/strong>by deploying advanced technologies that maximise the performance of our refineries while ensuring sustainability and respect for the environment.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;8px&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;543696&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; onclick=&#8221;custom_link&#8221; img_link_target=&#8221;_blank&#8221; link=&#8221;https:\/\/sarlux.sititest.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Sarlux-Dichiarazione-Ambientale-2021.pdf&#8221;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Since<\/strong> <strong>2008, Sarlux<\/strong> <strong>has<\/strong> <strong>voluntarily joined<\/strong> <strong>the EU Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS)<\/strong>, and since 2009 the Group has published an annual <strong>Environmental Statement<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This statement is one of the key tools of our <strong>constant dialogue with internal and external stakeholders<\/strong>, facilitating an open and transparent relationship with the local community, public agencies and our own workers, who play an active role in the effective implementation of our environmental policies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>The Sarlux refinery\u2019s performance data, published in the 2021 Environmental Statement,\u00a0are validated by Lloyd\u2019s Register Quality Assurance, which certifies that the environmental data recorded at the Sarlux site comply with the EMAS regulations.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This comprehensive disclosure promotes awareness of all the safety, health and environmental protection measures that make the Sarroch industrial site <strong>a source of wealth for the local community in which we are rooted.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h6><a href=\"https:\/\/sarlux.sititest.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Sarlux-Dichiarazione-Ambientale-2021.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Sarlux 2021 Environmental Statement<\/em><\/a><\/h6>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;16px&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The continuous improvement in environmental performance recorded over the years confirms our commitment to creating value and encourages us to continue on this path.<strong> Our story is one of efficiency. <\/strong>To do better we have to be more and more efficient;
