The seminar ESG indicators for sustainability and business competitiveness <\/em><\/strong>was held a few days ago in Cagliari, at the headquarters of Confindustria\u2019s Southern Sardinia branch.<\/p>\n

The event is part of a wider-reaching Territorial Plan proposed by Confindustria\u2019s (the Italian Industrialist Association) Southern Sardinia branch to institutions, entities, associations and businesses<\/strong>, which includes a series of joint actions for the development of the territory<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The two-day conference, aimed at entrepreneurs and managers of Companies operating at the Sarroch industrial site, provided useful indications and tools<\/strong> for the self-assessment of the system’s sustainability levels, in line with the demands of market dynamics, large clients and the banking system.<\/p>\n

For the Saras Group,<\/strong> at the end of the first day, Walter Cocco, Head of Industrial Operations Sarlux, described to attendees the company\u2019s experience with ESG matters<\/strong>: “Saras has developed a Sustainability Policy that, starting from an analysis of its processes, outlines its strategies, commitments and development towards ESG issues<\/em>.\u00a0 The Sustainability Report is the tool that summarises and reports on the actions carried out by the Group for sustainable development strategies<\/em>\u201d (link<\/a>)<\/p>\n

As explained by Walter Cocco, the Sustainable Energy for Inclusive Transition (<\/strong>ESTI<\/strong><\/a>) <\/strong>Plan<\/strong> is moving in this direction. Launched about a year and a half ago, it is developing various projects with a view to increasing sustainability, continuous efficiency gains and synergy with the territory<\/strong> from an Environment, Social and Governance (ESG)<\/strong>perspective. The goal is to actively participate in the development of a sustainable, innovative and inclusive industrial model together with the other players in the territory. <\/strong>(link<\/a>)<\/p>\n
