{"id":545832,"date":"2023-08-04T15:50:51","date_gmt":"2023-08-04T15:50:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sarlux.saras.it\/an-award-for-academic-excellence\/"},"modified":"2024-01-19T09:49:28","modified_gmt":"2024-01-19T09:49:28","slug":"an-award-for-academic-excellence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sarlux.saras.it\/en\/an-award-for-academic-excellence\/","title":{"rendered":"An award for academic excellence"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A few days ago, the students who took part in the <strong>Year 2022 Merit Awards Competition<\/strong>, promoted by the <strong>University of Cagliari<\/strong> in collaboration with the <strong>Sardinia section of the Italian Association of Chemical Engineering<\/strong> (<strong>AIDIC<\/strong>), were awarded their prizes at the Faculty of Engineering in Cagliari.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Sarlux<\/strong> and other local companies sponsored the initiative again this year, awarding a scholarship to the three best students &#8211; graduates of Cagliari\u2019s three-year chemical engineering course &#8211; who will continue their specialisation at Cagliari University.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;545661&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221; el_class=&#8221;didascalia&#8221;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;545659&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221; el_class=&#8221;didascalia&#8221;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;545663&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221; el_class=&#8221;didascalia&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The coordinator of the Chemical Engineering Degree Course of the Department of Mechanical, Chemical and Materials Engineering thanked the sponsoring companies: <strong>Sarlux<\/strong> and <strong>Ecotec<\/strong>, for their support of the students\u2019 education and training, and the <strong>Sardinian Section of AIDIC (Chemical Engineers\u2019 Association) <\/strong>for promoting the initiative, which aims to strengthen the <strong>ties between the university, the association and industrial companies<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For more than twenty years now, <strong>the Saras Group <\/strong>has had a <strong>Memorandum of Understanding<\/strong> with the <strong>University of Cagliari <\/strong>on initiatives for the cultural development of the industrial sector. For several years, the Group has also been collaborating with <strong>AIDIC<\/strong>, the Italian Association of Chemical Engineering, which <strong>actively supports<\/strong> the professional development of young chemical engineers and helps them find employment in Sardinia.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_icon icon_fontawesome=&#8221;fa fa-cog&#8221; size=&#8221;sm&#8221; align=&#8221;center&#8221;][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;16px&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Saras Group, founded by Angelo Moratti in 1962, is one of Europe\u2019s leading players in the energy and oil refining industry. Through its parent company Saras SpA and subsidiaries Saras Trading SA, based in Geneva, and Saras Energia SAU, based in Madrid, the Group sells and distributes oil products in the domestic and international markets. The Group is also active in the electricity generation sector through its subsidiaries Sarlux Srl (IGCC plant) and Sardeolica Srl (wind farm).
