The document communicates Saras\u2019values \u200b\u200band describes the commitment and professionalism of our people in ensuring the energy security of Sardinia and the country, operating according to principles of responsibility and sustainability and creating value for the region and its stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;8px&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;548344&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Report contains the main ESG indicators: in 2025, Saras generated approximately <strong>25,000 jobs annually<\/strong>, an average contribution of <strong>\u20ac1.72 billion to Sardinia\u2019s GDP<\/strong>, and a supply chain deeply rooted in the region, with <strong>89% of its workforce<\/strong> and <strong>38% of its purchases<\/strong> coming from local suppliers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In terms of energy security, the Sarroch refinery represents <strong>21% of Italy\u2019s refining capacity<\/strong>, while the IGCC plant produced <strong>4,100 GWh of electricity<\/strong>, equal to <strong>49.4% of the island&#8217;s electricity consumption<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Furthermore, with regard to reducing our environmental footprint, our renewable plants have an installed capacity of 171 MW and, <strong>in 2025<\/strong>, <strong>generated 371 GWh of clean energy<\/strong>, meeting the energy needs of over 267,000 people while avoiding approximately 240,000 tons of CO2 emissions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Water management involves the use of <strong>recycled water for approximately 28% of total needs<\/strong> and <strong>desalinated seawater for a further 44% of needs<\/strong>. This minimizes the Sarroch site&#8217;s need for primary resources (raw water from the consortium), which are instead made available primarily for the local agricultural and civil needs.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;16px&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Report provides updates on the initiatives undertaken, the objectives that demonstrate our responsible and sustainable vision, and the value generated by our activities, particularly in Sardinia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sarlux.saras.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Saras-ESG-Report-2025_Final.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Consult the full Report<\/a> (italian version)<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Transparency and accountability remain at the heart of our work.
