A comprehensive program included thematic workshops, technical lessons, orientation meetings, and work-based learning programs, with the aim of introducing students to the issues of energy, safety, and industrial innovation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Within this framework, the project dedicated to the \u201cBuccari\u201d Technical Institute for Transport and Logistics in Cagliari represented the final stage of the year&#8217;s work-based learning program, concluding on May 19th with a visit to the Saras refinery by third-year students majoring in \u201cOperation of Maritime Equipment and Systems\u201d (engine drivers) and \u201cOperation of Onboard Electrical and Electronic Equipment\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;16px&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;548111&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition to the refinery tour, the program included classroom lectures and, overall, offered students a direct opportunity to experience the world of work and the operational dynamics of a complex industrial plant.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Energy scenario and the role of Sarlux<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The meeting opened with an overview of the international energy landscape and the ongoing transformations in the industrial sector. The role of Saras\/Sarlux as a strategic asset for the production of sustainable energy sources and for contributing to the stability of Sardinia\u2019s electricity grid, thanks to the integration of refining and power generation, was explored in depth.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;548113&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;16px&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Technical skills and industrial maintenance<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The second part of the program focused on the skills required for managing the maintenance of a large industrial site, focusing on safety, intervention scheduling, and system reliability.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Case studies on large machines, pumps, and compressors allowed students to explore real-world examples of technical and maintenance management, understanding the importance of cross-functional collaboration and operational precision.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;16px&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>An orientation and growth experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Finally, the final day at the refinery allowed students to gain a firsthand understanding of production processes, observe the organization of operations, and understand the value of safety and individual responsibility.
