Legality Day 2026 – Villa San Pietro

Over one hundred elementary and middle school students from Villa San Pietro, along with teachers and families, participated in Legality Day 2026, an initiative promoted by the Pro Loco in collaboration with the municipal administration, Saras, and the Guardia di Finanza, dedicated to the themes of legality, digital security, and compliance.
In her official address, Mayor Marina Madeddu emphasized how legality is “a cultural journey that begins in the soul,” emphasizing the shared responsibility of building a culture of respect among young people.

Saras provided an educational contribution on cybersecurity, with a program designed for young people and focused on the risks associated with the use of smartphones, social networks, and online video games. Key aspects such as password protection, digital scams, personal account protection, and responsible use of the internet were addressed through concrete examples.
Criminologist Sofia Maffa illustrated the fingerprinting techniques used in criminal investigations, while the Commander of the Sarroch Guardia di Finanza (Financial Police) Branch, Stefano Caffini, discussed the topic of security and compliance.
The operational demonstration by the Guardia di Finanza’s canine unit, engaged in combating drug trafficking, was also well attended.
In closing, the Municipal Administration thanked all partners and participants for an intense, educational, and informative day, reaffirming its shared commitment to promoting a culture of legality.
