Saras and the SetteSere SettePiazze SetteLibri Festival

The sixteenth edition of the “SetteSere SettePiazze SetteLibri Festival”, one of the island’s most recognized literary events, kicked off on July 27 in Perdasdefogu. This year, Saras is once again among the partners supporting the initiative, confirming the company’s commitment to the culture and growth of the communities in which it operates.

The 2026 edition of the festival is dedicated to Umberto Eco and features 56 events and over one hundred authors, journalists, academics, and musicians. It has already received widespread coverage in the regional and national press, a testament to the project’s cultural value, thanks to its rich program spanning fiction, nonfiction, current affairs, history, and global themes.
In addition to meetings with authors and scholars, the festival hosts journalism, reading, theater, sculpture, and photography workshops, designed to engage students and enthusiasts of all ages. Special attention is given to young people with the “C’era la banda dei 105” project, which brings together children and young people from Perdasdefogu schools in collective reading and writing activities, transforming the square into a laboratory of ideas and creativity. The program is rounded out by the accompanying initiatives Primavera di Libri, a traveling festival on the island, and meetings dedicated to cultural dissemination and exchanges between artistic directors of Italian festivals.
