Saras for the local community: promoting skills development and employability

The Saras Group is providing methodological and technical-scientific support to the training project for “Electrical and instrument technician” project organised by the Municipality of Sarroch and the Italian Industrialists’ Association – Sardinia Branch (Confindustria Sardegna Meridionale.
This initiative is a tangible example of a training programme based on the actual needs of the labour market and meeting the labour demand generated by the Group’s investment programmes in the Sarlux industrial site.

Saras operates the first sustainable bunkering hub in the Mediterranean

With the refueling of the ship Jaohar Rima, the first bunkering service that offers the Sardinian port as a strategic fuel refueling hub has been launched. In addition to the full range of traditional fuels and marine diesel, Saras produces, in the Sarlux refinery, the new ecological fuel oil with very low sulphur content.

Businesses and Universities: together for local students

Sarlux, Fluorsid and Ecotec have joined the initiative of the Italian Association of Chemical Engineering (AIDC) and, also this year, in the assembly hall of the Faculty of Engineering, the best four recent graduates of the three-year course in Chemical Engineering have been awarded will remain in Cagliari for the Master’s degree.

Francesco Marini is the new president of the Confindustria Sardegna Meridionale

Francesco Marini was elected President by the General Assembly of the Southern Sardinia Branch of Confindustria, the Italian Industrialists’ Association, on 15 July 2019 in Cagliari. He was elected on the basis of the consultations carried out by the arbitration committee with the 21 product sections of the association.
